How You Can Help
Have you ever wanted to volunteer for Carol's Closet ?We have several er opportunities for you to get involved!
Third Saturday of Every Month:
1. Volunteers are needed to help in the distribution of paper products from 10:00am - 11:15 am on the third Saturday of each month. This includes greeting the guests, helping them to their car, offering refreshments and managing the clothing and giveaway tables.
2. Clothing Team - Join the Clothing Team to help sort and organize the mountains of clothing donations that come in each month. Requires coming to church to help out for 1-2 hours once or twice a month. Days/times would be either on a weekend day or weekday evening.
3. Pick up the goods & deliver to church - Join the Delivery Team and make a run to Dollar Tree in Wethersfield about every 6 weeks to pick up the boxes of paper towels, toilet paper, etc. and bring them to church. Two to three drivers are needed for each run. Drivers must have an SUV, mini-van, or truck.
4. Set Up Team - Help set up the "goods" the Friday before distribution day. Requires coming to church on Friday to spend about an hour setting up. Time will be TBD.
If you can help with any of these tasks, even occasionally, please contact the church office. Thank you!
Financial donations are gratefully accepted by clicking below to donate electronically or checks can be made out to Carol’s Closet and mailed to St. James’. If you would to get your group involved contact the church office for more details.

Tea & Quilt Event
We had a tremendous day on Saturday, November 1 at the Quilt/Craft Sale and Afternoon Tea! The turnout was fabulous! Approximately 60 guests enjoyed delicious tea, sandwiches and treats upstairs in the parish hall at tables set with beautiful china. Downstairs guests started their holiday shopping while browsing through gorgeous handmade quilts, scrumptious baked goods, professional photography, jewelry, and other items. Thanks to all who attended, baked, cooked, served, set up, cleaned up, planned (for months!), and otherwise supported the production of this event. Special thanks to Dawn, Rick, and John for your assistance! It only happened because of all you. Together we raised over $4,000 for Carol's Closet. That is truly amazing!
With many thanks,
