On Thursday, June 25th at 7:00 pm, St. James’ is hosting a presentation on Camp
Washington, the official Camp and Conference Center of the Episcopal Church in
Connecticut (ECCT), by Executive Director Bart Geissinger. Located in the scenic Litchfield
hills in Lakeside, Connecticut, it is a sacred place where God’s love for the world is shared
with all God’s people through the ministry of hospitality. It is an inviting, diverse, accepting
community that offers a safe place for reflection and renewal, education and training, that
encourages creativity and a sense of adventure by exploring and experiencing God’s mission
of restoration and reconciliation.
From summer camp to retreats and special events, Camp Washington is a year-round center
for discipleship rooted in the beauty of God’s creation and love. It is open to all God’s
people, of all faith traditions and backgrounds who seek community, rest, and renewal …a
place where everyone belongs.
Come and explore all that Camp Washington has to offer - summer camps for families and
children through young adults, special programs, community dinners, retreats and so much
more.
